What is Art. Heritage. Home stay.?
Home stays offer a unique alternative to hotels, allowing one to live alongside a local and experience a destination through their lens. This is a goldmine for creatives! Imagine waking up to the aroma of spicy bedai jalebi in a traditional Agra home, next to Taj Mahal. Listening to the stories of kings and palaces through the people who lived them. One can spend mornings walking along the path walked by Kings and Queens, afternoon capturing the vibrant energy of local Bazaar and evenings listenings to the traditional poems and nazams of famed local poets from your homestay host.
The Noor House is our ancestral home. It was built as a family house and was used only by family members until we opened it to guests in November 2024. While family members still visit the house, we have a team dedicated to running the homestay: preparing breakfast and meals, providing local, logistical assistance etc.The house is filled with family treasures, photographs and memorabilia which offer a sense of the past, as well as a mix of vintage and contemporary local fabrics that can be found throughout the region. The food is typically local and served in the inner lobby of the house; a peaceful oasis in the midst of a bustling town. We have an outer courtyard too, well shaded and guests are welcome to relax there. Our doors are open to all visitors who would like to share and immerse themselves in the art, heritage and tranquility of the house and city. There are no TVs, but plenty of books and maps on the local region, and a bottomless pot of chai or coffee is always on offer. We promote ethical tourism and environmentally friendly practices.
