Welcome to The Noor House

The Noor House is a courtyard house located in the Taj Ganj Locality of Agra, just 800 meters from the Taj Mahal Estern gate.

It is the ancestral home of the Noor family, who restored the house in 2024 and opened it as a heritage homestay with four guest rooms and a co-ed dormitory for solo travelers along with a delightful courtyard pantry, serving traditional local cuisine. It welcomes couples, families, and solo travelers irrespective of age and nationality.

It is the country’s first stay with aim of promoting art and heritage. Each room is styled over an Indian poet. There is poetry in every element of stay, scattered all around.

ROOMS

We have four individual guest rooms, all set with restored furniture and local fabrics. All rooms open onto the communal area. Ghalib - Suite which sleeps three; Tagore - a double room; Neeraj - a double room; Kabir - a double room; Prem - a Co ed four bunk bedded room. Each room has an en suite washroom with WiFi access.

Agra, a true medieval city has a rich history, reflected in its numerous monuments dotted in and around the city.The Modern Agra was founded by Sikandar Lodi, ruler of Lodi dynasty in 16th century. It was when Shah Jahan descended the Mughal throne that Agra reached the zenith of architectural beauty. The golden age of the city began with the Mughals. Agra is the only Indian city with three UNESCO world heritage sites: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Taj Mahal is only 800 meters from the Noor House while Agra fort is 2 kms away.
